Stone of Remembrance

Joshua 4:21, 22 & 24 "When your children ask their fathers in times to come, 'What do these stones mean?' then you shall let your children know, 'so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the LORD is mighty, that you may fear the LORD your God forever."

17 years have now past. This is our "stone of rememberance".

This is when God began a new work on our hearts, changing our lives as only He does.Without our Jennifer, our family, children and lives would all be very different I am certain. God allowed her life of just 15 days to change our family forever.

How little did we know then what He had planned for us. He brought wonderful friends who mentored us and drew our hearts and minds to the blessings of a "large" family. He began to give us the tools we would need. God allowed her little life to be a blessing to us even today.

Without Jennifer, there would not have been a Jonathan. At least not the Jonathan we know today. He was born only 11 months after Jennifer, while most of our children are at least 18 months apart. Therefore none of our children would have been born when they were.

This is exactly what God had planned for us, to help draw us to Himself.

Romans 9:17, 20-23
For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth." ... But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, "Why have you made me like this?" Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honored use and another for dishonorable use? What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory--

May God continue to mold our family as He wills. May we allow His will to be done without our complaining. May we not forget what He has done and may we look forward to all He will do.
